Child Safety Standards

VOSTRO Life Network standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), applicable to the VOSTRO app and all related services.

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Zero tolerance

VOSTRO has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation. The following are prohibited across the app, including in rooms, chats, profiles, and any shared content:

  • child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including photos, videos, audio, text, drawings, or artificially generated images, whether requested, shared, or linked to;
  • grooming: contacting a minor, or building a relationship with a minor, for the purpose of sexual exploitation;
  • sexual extortion (sextortion) and any threat to share or distribute intimate images of a minor;
  • sexualization of minors, including through comments, jokes, or role-playing;
  • any form of trafficking or exploitation of minors, including arranging meetings for such purposes.

These prohibitions form a binding part of our Terms of Use (EULA, Section 6). Anyone who violates them will immediately and permanently lose access to VOSTRO and will be reported to the competent authorities.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to use VOSTRO (EULA, Section 3.1). During registration, we ask for your date of birth and block Account creation for anyone who declares that they are under 16.

  • For users aged 16 or 17, personalized advertising is always disabled and AI profiling is disabled by default.
  • Any user may request optional identity verification ("Verified User"), a feature also designed to help protect minors in their interactions with adults.

If we become aware that an Account belongs to someone under 16, we close the Account and delete the associated data. Parents and legal guardians can report such an Account by emailing privacy@vostrolifenetwork.com.

How to report

Anyone can report content or behavior that may put a minor at risk. You can do so directly in the app:

1 Use the app's Reports feature, select the most appropriate category, and describe what happened. You can attach a screenshot.

2 Block the user: they will no longer be able to contact you.

3 If the incident takes place in a room, the room organizer can also remove the participant from the chat immediately.

Alternatively, you can contact us directly:

Always attach a screenshot. Chat text messages are encrypted and deleted from our servers after delivery, so we cannot read private conversations. A screenshot attached to your report allows us to act promptly.

⚠️ If a minor is in immediate danger, call 112 immediately. You can also report the matter to the Italian Postal and Communications Police (Polizia Postale e delle Comunicazioni) through commissariatodips.it. Children and teenagers can also seek help from Telefono Azzurro by calling 19696.

How we respond

Reports involving child safety receive the highest priority and are reviewed as soon as they are received. When we become aware of CSAM or child sexual exploitation:

  • we remove the content from our systems;
  • we permanently close the responsible Account and prevent it from being recreated;
  • we preserve the information necessary solely for the purpose of making it available to the authorities, to the extent permitted by law;
  • we report the case to the competent authorities.

Cooperation with authorities

We report cases of child sexual abuse or exploitation to the Italian Postal and Communications Police (Polizia Postale e delle Comunicazioni), which includes the National Centre for Combating Online Child Pornography (CNCPO). We cooperate fully with Italian and European authorities and respond to their requests in accordance with applicable law.

VOSTRO complies with applicable Italian and European laws and regulations on child protection, including:

  • Italian Law No. 269 of August 3, 1998, on combating the exploitation of minors through prostitution, pornography, and sex tourism;
  • Italian Law No. 38 of February 6, 2006, on combating the sexual exploitation of children and child pornography, including online;
  • Article 609-undecies of the Italian Criminal Code (grooming of minors);
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act);
  • Google Play's requirements on child safety standards.
